Stunning early Emile Jumeau, circa 1884, the model known as "Jumeau Triste" or " Long Face" in reference to its sad expression. She is the largest size of this model ever made, 34" (86cm) tall, incised with number 16 on the back of her head.
She has applied ears and very beautiful bisque completion as you can see on the pictures. Her original fully jointed composition Jumeau body with straight wrists and separate ball joints is in excellent almost flawless condition.
Gorgeous facial modeling: beautiful amber paperweight eyes, heavily sculpted eyelids, eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, shaded nostrils.
Closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, dimpled lip corners, separately modeled pierced ears. Brown human hair wig over original cork pate! What an exquisite find!!!
This Grand Beauty is all original: from her fabulous dress with absolutely amazing embroidery to her antique-blue leather shoes with the high heels.
